This policy describes how DOCX PDF handles information when you visit the website, create an account, or use the conversion API. Complete the publication review notice above with the service operator's verified details before relying on this policy.
Information we handle
- Account information: your account name, verified email address, and identity-provider user ID, used to create and manage your account.
- API and usage information: API-key identifiers and hashes, job IDs, job status, timestamps, plan, and usage totals. Raw database-backed API keys are returned only at creation and are not stored as plaintext.
- Documents: DOCX files you submit and PDFs generated from them are processed and stored to provide conversion and download services.
- Billing information: subscription and payment status and provider identifiers are stored for account billing. Stripe processes checkout and payment details; this application does not receive your full card number.
- Operational records: service logs may include job IDs, processing outcomes, durations, and error details to operate and troubleshoot the service.
How information is used
We use this information to authenticate accounts and API requests, convert and return files, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, maintain the service, and respond to support or legal requests.
Service providers
The service uses Clerk for authentication, Stripe for billing, and hosted infrastructure for the website, database, job queue, and object storage. Plausible analytics may be loaded on the homepage when analytics is enabled in the deployment configuration. These providers process information as needed to deliver their respective services.
Document handling and retention
Documents are uploaded to private object storage and retrieved by the conversion worker. The application does not currently publish or enforce a fixed document-deletion schedule. Job records are kept in the service database, and document objects may remain in storage until removed by the operator. Do not submit documents unless this retention behavior is appropriate for your use case.
Security and disclosure
We use access controls and service credentials to limit access to accounts and stored files. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the service and its users.
Your choices and requests
You can manage API keys and subscriptions from your account. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions, contact the service operator using the verified privacy contact added before publication. Some records may need to be retained for security, billing, or legal obligations.
